These conversations - confessions with Paulo Coelho took place in Rio de Janeiro, in the house of the writer with a view on marvelous beauty beaches of Copacabana. It was at the beginning of July, 1998, during the high season of the world football championship in France. And conversations of Huan Arias and Paulo Coelho interrupted only when the writer looked matches, - he wrote about them articles for the French press. They were very frank talks. For the first time Coelho told about the most tragic events of his life: about wanderings in narcotic desert, about black magic, about a psychiatric clinic, about prison and tortures. After that the writer told, that now he would not tell to anybody any more about his life during the next twenty years … "One of the most exciting moments there was the moment when he telling about spiritual experience which he had gone through in a German concentration camp of Dachau, Coelho began to cry … And the most joyful was the moment when his wife Christina got a white bird's feather and gave it to her husband: "Look, Paulo, what I have found!" At times in conversations polemic tone sounded and when the atmosphere of some special sincerity appeared, they became to look like a confession.
